Goldfish Racing
This has been a Hobby of Joe's for many years. As President of the British Goldfish Racing Association, I arrange meetings that are open to all comers with goldfish to race. This year's event will be held at the Showman's Show on Newbury Showground on the 22nd and 23rd October. Several races will be held throughout both days, with the winner being the fastest fish over the two days. Gold fish under four inches long are eligible. We have a six lane track, eight feet long, with starting gates and finishing traps. People bringing there own goldfish will qualify for a small discount when ordering on our stand. (we can look after your fish during the day.) If you don't have a fish, come and race ours. Training a goldfish to race is difficult as they suspposedly only have a four second memory span, and it can't be done in a conventional fish bowl - you need to put them in one end of a (cold) bath and train them to come to you at the other end.
